Billet

Billets are a dual-purpose form of metal, in that they are usable as-milled, or may be further processed to form other mill shapes, such as rods and sheets. In its as-milled form, Billets are often used as the base of a project which needs to be machined into shape. Whole engine blocks or alloy wheels can be machined or forged from single Billets.
